MathsHelp is an online tutoring platform that connects students with qualified mathematics tutors, particularly focusing on Irish Leaving Certificate mathematics preparation. Our services include:

• Online assessment tools using past paper questions
• Progress tracking and performance analytics
• Tutor matching and lesson booking
• Educational content and practice materials

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Student Accounts

Students can access assessment tools, book lessons with tutors, and track their progress through the platform.

3.3 Tutor Accounts

Tutors must provide accurate qualifications and are responsible for delivering quality educational services. All tutors are independent contractors.

4. Payment and Fees

4.1 Platform Access

Access to assessment tools and basic platform features is free for students.

4.2 Tutoring Services

Tutoring rates range from €25-50 per hour as set by individual tutors. Payment is handled directly between students and tutors. MathsHelp does not process payments for tutoring services.

4.3 No Refund Policy

Due to the nature of educational services, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis between students and tutors.

5. User Conduct

Users agree to:

• Use the service for lawful educational purposes only
• Respect other users and maintain professional communication
• Not share account credentials with others
• Not attempt to circumvent security measures
• Not use the service to distribute malicious content

6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1 Platform Content

All assessment questions, educational materials, and platform content remain the property of MathsHelp or its licensors.

6.2 User Content

Users retain ownership of content they create but grant MathsHelp a license to use such content for platform operation and improvement.

6.3 Past Paper Questions

Past examination questions are used under fair dealing provisions for educational purposes.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. We collect and use personal information in accordance with Irish and EU data protection laws. Key points:

8. Limitations of Liability

• Quality of tutoring services provided by independent tutors

Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Tutor Relationship

Important clarifications:

• Tutors are independent contractors, not employees of MathsHelp
• MathsHelp facilitates connections but is not responsible for tutoring quality
• Payment arrangements are between students and tutors directly
• Disputes should be resolved between the parties involved

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. MathsHelp reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Irish law, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Irish courts.
